Our Commitment to Accessibility
We want auburnthetaxi.com to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Measures We Take
- Full keyboard operability, including a "skip to main content" link and a visible focus indicator
- Text and interactive elements that meet WCAG AA color-contrast ratios in both light and dark modes
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images and labels on every form field
- Semantic headings, landmarks, and ARIA states so screen readers can navigate the page
- Respect for the "reduce motion" setting, disabling non-essential animation
- Content that remains readable when zoomed to 200% and on small screens
