Our Commitment

Accessibility

We want every visitor — including those who use assistive technology — to be able to use this site and connect with the Beta Zeta chapter.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

The men of Theta Xi's Beta Zeta chapter are committed to making auburnthetaxi.com accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) — and we treat accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time task.

Measures We Take

  • Full keyboard operability, including a "skip to main content" link and a visible focus indicator
  • Text and interactive elements that meet WCAG AA color-contrast ratios in both light and dark modes
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images and labels on every form field
  • Semantic headings, landmarks, and ARIA states so screen readers can navigate the page
  • Respect for the "reduce motion" setting, disabling non-essential animation
  • Content that remains readable when zoomed to 200% and on small screens

Reporting a Barrier

Accessibility is a moving target, and we may not catch everything. If you encounter a barrier on this site, or need information in a different format, please let us know — we take every report seriously and will do our best to fix it promptly.

Email our accessibility contact at betazetatxalumni@gmail.com. Please include the page address and a description of the problem so we can reproduce and resolve it.

Ongoing Effort

We review the site's accessibility as we add new content and features, and we welcome feedback that helps us improve. This statement will be updated as our practices evolve.
